Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 27, 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern use of The Bark Side Canine Training website and purchases of training services, digital products, merchandise, and related offerings. By using the site or completing a purchase, you agree to these terms and any additional terms presented for a specific service or product.

20% Heroes Discount

The Bark Side proudly offers 20% off eligible training services to active-duty U.S. military members, National Guard and Reserve members, veterans and military retirees, and current or retired law-enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics.

The eligible person must be the purchasing client or a dog owner or co-owner named in the training record. We may ask to visually verify a military, veteran, agency, or other official service credential. Please do not email or upload sensitive identification; The Bark Side does not retain a copy.

The discount applies to Private Lessons, Puppy Socialization & Environmental Exposure, Private Lesson packages, Board & Train, 4-Week Puppy Foundations, and approved written Behavior Modification programs. It does not apply to the $30 Consult + Mini Lesson, travel charges, equipment, add-ons, third-party or veterinary expenses, merchandise, digital products, gift cards, or financing charges. The Heroes Discount is not separately applied to cancellation or no-show fees; when a percentage-based late fee applies to a discounted standalone booking, it is calculated from the net scheduled service price after the approved discount.

Package prices already include package savings; the 20% Heroes Discount is applied to that package price. For an eligible Board & Train, 4-Week Puppy Foundations, or Behavior Modification purchase, the separate one-time $30 consultation credit may also be applied. The Heroes Discount cannot be combined with other coupons, promotions, referral/review discounts, or discretionary reductions unless The Bark Side agrees otherwise in writing before purchase. For qualifying additional dogs enrolled in Board & Train or 4-Week Puppy Foundations, the approved multi-dog policy produces a 30% total discount rather than stacking a separate 30% discount on top of Heroes.

Eligibility must be verified before the service begins and before the purchase is fully paid. The discount has no cash value and is not otherwise retroactive. Approved refunds are calculated from the amount actually paid after discounts and credits, under the applicable service agreement.

Discount terms may change for future purchases. An accepted written estimate or agreement will be honored according to its stated terms.

Multi-Dog Training

Private lessons and four- or six-session packages are priced per household, per scheduled hour—not per dog. Any number of dogs owned by and living within the purchasing household may participate during the same session at no additional charge. All participating dogs share the scheduled hour, and the trainer may adjust participation when necessary for safety, animal welfare, or effective training. Packages may not be shared with another household.

The $30 Consult + Mini Lesson covers the purchasing household for the first scheduled hour. Clients whose concerns involve interactions between multiple dogs in their household should contact The Bark Side before booking so the best consultation format can be determined.

Board & Train and 4-Week Puppy Foundations are priced separately for each dog. Full payment for the first eligible residential program begins a 60-calendar-day eligibility period. Any additional dog owned by and living within the same purchaser’s household receives 30% off the standard price of its qualifying Board & Train or 4-Week Puppy Foundations program when the additional dog’s reservation deposit is paid during that period. The programs do not need to be scheduled for the same dates, and the original 60-day period does not restart with another reservation.

Heroes clients receive 20% off the first dog’s eligible program. Each qualifying additional dog receives another 10 percentage points, bringing that dog’s total discount to 30%. The Heroes and additional-dog reductions do not combine to create a discount greater than 30% for an additional dog.

Each dog enrolled in Board & Train or 4-Week Puppy Foundations requires an individual reservation, deposit, intake, agreement, training record, and available program space. The one-time $30 consultation credit remains one credit per client’s first qualifying purchase and is not multiplied by the number of dogs.

Cancellations and refunds are handled separately for each dog and are calculated from that dog’s net amount actually paid under the applicable agreement. Cancelling one dog does not automatically cancel or refund another dog’s service. Discounts have no separate cash or transferable value.

Eligibility and Accurate Information

You must be at least 18 years old or otherwise legally able to enter into a contract to make a purchase. You agree to provide accurate contact, billing, dog, behavior, and safety information. Known bite history, attempted bites, aggression, fear-related behavior, medical concerns relevant to handling, and other material safety issues must be disclosed before hands-on training.

Training Services

Dog training outcomes vary by dog, owner participation, environment, health, consistency, prior history, and other factors. The Bark Side provides professional training, coaching, and recommendations but does not guarantee a specific behavioral outcome or permanent result.

Owners remain responsible for lawful ownership, veterinary care, supervision, safe handling, and compliance with local rules and restrictions. Training information is not veterinary or medical advice.

Consultation Credit

A completed paid $30 in-person consultation and mini training session qualifies for a one-time $30 credit toward the client’s first Board & Train, 4-Week Puppy Foundations, or Behavior Modification purchase made within 90 days after the completed consultation. The credit is nontransferable, has no cash value, and does not apply to other services unless The Bark Side states otherwise in writing. Consultation clients who purchased before this 90-day term was published remain governed by the consultation-credit terms in effect when they purchased.

Pricing, Discounts, and Payment

Prices, package savings, Heroes Discount terms, promotions, and financing availability are those displayed or communicated at the time of purchase. Discounts and promotions may not be combined unless expressly stated.

Payment methods may include credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and eligible financing or buy-now-pay-later options such as Affirm, Afterpay, Klarna, and All Pet Card. Availability depends on the payment provider, purchase amount, customer eligibility, device, and transaction. Third-party payment and financing providers have their own terms, approvals, fees, interest, dispute procedures, and privacy practices.

Scheduling, Cancellations, and Refunds

Scheduling, rescheduling, cancellation, no-show, deposit, and refund rules are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy and any program-specific agreement or booking terms presented before purchase. Program-specific terms control where they provide more specific requirements, to the extent permitted by law.

Behavior and Safety

The Bark Side may modify, pause, relocate, or decline hands-on services when reasonably necessary for the safety of a dog, owner, trainer, another person, or another animal. Failure to disclose material safety information may affect whether services can proceed.

Digital Content and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, training guides, videos, downloads, course materials, graphics, written content, and other original materials provided by The Bark Side are for the purchaser’s personal use. You may not reproduce, resell, distribute, upload, share access to, or commercially exploit those materials without written permission.

Website Use

You may not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with site operation, submit false or fraudulent orders, or use the site in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

Third-Party Services and Links

The site may link to or use services operated by third parties, including payment processors, financing providers, review platforms, scheduling tools, and other service providers. The Bark Side does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their separate terms, availability, or privacy practices.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Bark Side is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website, third-party services, or training materials. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or customer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Changes do not retroactively alter a signed service agreement unless permitted by that agreement and applicable law.

Governing Law and Contact

These terms are governed by applicable United States and Florida law, without limiting any non-waivable consumer rights. Questions may be directed to The Bark Side Canine Training at thebarksidetraining@gmail.com or 904-776-6703.
