The Four-Week Process
What to Expect
1. Consultation & Fit
Start with the $30 Consult + Mini Lesson so Noel can meet you and your dog, see the challenges firsthand, and determine whether Board & Train is the right path.
2. Reserve the Program
Once approved, a $100 deposit reserves the agreed program space and is credited toward the $3,000 total.
3. Pickup & Training
Complimentary pickup is arranged in writing. During the four-week stay, training follows your dog’s individualized plan, with weekly owner updates and program communication handled through PocketSuite.
4. Return & Transition
Your dog is returned at no additional cost. After graduation, a go-home lesson helps you continue the training at home, followed by two private lessons included at no additional charge.
Before check-in, the schedule, transportation, training goals, food, medications, health information, veterinary and emergency details, and known safety concerns must be confirmed in writing.
Home Life & Personal Attention
Dogs stay and sleep inside Noel’s home, with a small group of typically two to three training dogs at a time. They receive close attention throughout most of the day, with occasional periods when Noel is away running errands.
Dogs begin by sleeping in crates. As graduation approaches, they work toward sleeping on a dog bed outside the crate, unless you prefer continued overnight crating. Your sleeping preferences are discussed before the stay.
A Typical Day
The day starts with a potty break, breakfast, a morning walk and rest. Noel then works with each dog individually on their training goals, with rest between sessions and consistent potty breaks throughout the day. An evening walk usually takes place around 6 p.m.
Walks are typically about a mile in the morning and again in the evening; the routine follows the dog’s individual training plan. When multiple dogs have been cleared for socialization, backyard playtime may be part of the day. Group play is based on safety and fit, so it is not promised for every dog.
Support You Can Revisit at Home
You also receive a go-home video covering the commands your dog learned, proper e-collar use, and how to give corrections when needed, along with a guide to routines and breed-specific needs. These resources support the hands-on go-home lesson and your continued practice together.

Frequently Asked Questions
Board & Train Questions
Is pickup and return really included?
Yes. Board & Train includes complimentary pickup and return throughout Northeast Florida. The exact timing and handoff plan are confirmed in writing.
Will my dog interact with other dogs?
Interaction or play with other dogs is not promised. Dogs may be housed and trained separately, and any controlled exposure is based on Noel’s safety assessment and the individual training plan.
Is Board & Train right for serious behavior concerns?
Not always. Significant behavior concerns may require a separate Behavior Modification plan, additional time, follow-up, or referral. The recommended price and timeframe may change depending on severity, and no upgrade or added charge is made without written approval.
What if my dog is still a puppy?
Puppies ages 4 months through 1 year at the start of the stay may be suited for the separate 4-Week Puppy Foundations program. A consultation is preferred but not required for Puppy Foundations. Ask about fit and availability.
Are results guaranteed?
No. Training outcomes depend on the dog, the selected goals, health and behavior factors, and the owner’s consistency after the program. The Bark Side does not guarantee a specific result.
